DVFilm Maker - 60i to 24P conversion
Comparison between Vegas and Maker
- The 60i to 24P conversion in most editing systems including Sony
Vegas, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and Cineform Connect HD,
is greatly inferior to the DVFilm Maker conversion.
Here is a sample test file, 60idemo.avi (NTSC DV-AVI, 1.1MB, use right-click, Save Target As).
- The output from Vegas shows more blurring because every part of
the frame is a blend of 2 fields, regardless of whether the object
is moving or not. Look at the blue lettering and the diagonal
line in the image below: Maker's output is just as sharp as the
original. In the Vegas output, the line is dimmer and blurred.
