Here are some comments emailed to us by our customers:
"I'm a film person so I have a very critical eye. But I downloaded
program last night, and after extensive testing, I am sending you an order.
It really works well!"
- Stephen Brooks
"This little program of yours is a real gem. Given that most festivals
video screening copies now, it's possible to get a lot of movies out there for
next to no money at all. I'm going to be using it a lot in the next little while!"
- John Barnard, Far Point Films
"Atlantis has been working great for me. Amazing what you've done
little chunk of very smart code. "
- Richard Jefferies
"I recently purchased your DVFilm Maker software and find that
it does a
terrific job of deinterlacing. Since my current projects are shot and destined
for video, I've simply marked framing lines on my monitor and am shooting
to use the 16:9 cropping built into the software."
"I've been stressing hard about trying to find a film look that
and not destroy the quality of my original DV footage. I got to tell you,
I had bought Cinelook (very pricey by the way), and tried many times to
get SOME kind of decent looking result. Forget it. It just takes way too long
and winds up looking like bad cable reception. When I used your DVFilm
Maker product on my footage it blew me away! I started to dance a jig in
my editing room! I thought I should write an thank you for saving my project.
Now it has the cinematic integrity that it was always meant to have!
- Jeffrey Bunzendahl, Writer-Director, "Wilson Chance"
"I have decided to write to you to congratulate you on your Maker
I have finally done the processing of my feature (Yotama Se Va Volando)
and find the result greatly improved from the original. Bravo to you and to
all of your co-workers. Keep up your good work."
"The transfered footage looks really beautiful, retaining much
of its original richness.
I tried it out on my nephew and he said, "it looks like a movie" rather than TV.
I took a chance going PAL and relying on your software but now I couldn't
be more happy. Thanks!"
- Jeff Gibbs (Field producer, composer, Michael Moore's "Bowling
"I just downloaded and used Atlantis software to convert a short
film into NTSC to go onto a DVD. What a wonderfully simple piece of
software that does exactly what it's supposed to do! I've had plenty of
frustrations trying to convert between PAL and NTSC using After Effects
and Final Cut Pro--it never came out looking right. With Atlantis, I
literally opened up my quicktime, selected one menu item, and it was
done. The footage looks beautiful on DVD. No weird interlace problems,
no stuttering, no time lag. Just perfect looking video. And I haven't
even started to play with any of the customizing features yet. Nice
- Harold Moss, FlickerLab

Industry Reviews of DVFilm Maker and DVFilm Atlantis
"A very cool tool"
- Adam Wilt (www.adamwilt.com)
"You'll be more successful using 24p with 3:2 pulldown if you
start with PAL footage rather than NTSC footage. One product to
investigate is DVFilm Atlantis (www.dvfilm.com), software that
converts PAL to NTSC 24p with a 3:2 pulldown."
"[DVFilm Maker] adds warming and uses smart deinterlacing to preserve
detail in areas of the picture that don't move. The deinterlacing
is clean and the effect is pleasing."
